Stacie and ACTFL
Stacie is a die-hard advocate for language learning. She believes in the need to provide ongoing world language instruction to all students K-16 across the U.S. for pragmatic (strengthening national security), practical (career enhancement), academic (enhanced cognitive development) and personal (pleasure and personal growth) reasons. She is a member of and supports ACTFL, the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, a national membership organization dedicated to the improvement and expansion of the teaching and learning of all languages at all levels of instruction. ACTFL is an individual membership organization of more than 12,500 language educators and administrators from elementary through graduate education, as well as government and industry. ACTFL published Stacie’s fourth book, Raising Global Children, and she collaborates with the organization on key initiatives. Her work has been featured in ACTFL’s bimonthly magazine, The Language Educator.
